Cypress College Student Athlete Advisory Committee President
During my time at Cypress College from September 2018 to May 2019, I served as the SAAC President (Student Athlete Advisory Committee). In this role, I directed communication between student-athletes and the administration, ensuring that the voices of athletes were heard and their concerns addressed. I planned various on-campus events to enhance local community relations, including organizing the Veterans 5K in support of the Veterans Services office. This event, which I solicited the entire athletic department to participate in, hosted more than 200 attendees.
Additionally, I led monthly meetings with all student-athlete representatives from their respective teams. These meetings were crucial for fostering collaboration, addressing common issues, and promoting a unified athletic community. I also met frequently with the administration to discuss the outcomes of our meetings, ensuring that the student-athletes' perspectives were effectively communicated and considered in decision-making processes.
Founder of 4 for 4 CPA
In June 2024, I launched 4 for 4 CPA, an organization dedicated to supporting individuals pursuing the CPA exam and entering the public accounting profession. Our mission is to provide comprehensive support and resources that inspire and empower candidates to pass all four Certified Public Accountant exams, achieve their professional goals, and enhance interest in the accounting field.
We are committed to partnering with industry leaders to advance our mission and to eventually transition into a nonprofit entity focused on supporting organizations, groups, and communities within the business, accounting, and financial services sectors.
As of April 2024, I've assumed the role of Professional Development Lead within the Chapman University Latinx Alumni Association. In this position, I have had the privilege of collaborating closely with our dedicated team, engaging in meaningful community service, and spearheading initiatives aimed at facilitating the successful transition of graduating Chapman students into the working world.
Our primary aim is to equip these students with the essential tools and resources needed to excel in their respective careers. To achieve this objective, we are implementing a strategy to disseminate valuable information, organize both virtual and in-person events, and provide mentorship opportunities tailored to the unique needs of graduating seniors.
